Terms of Service
Last updated: April 16, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Auris secret detection platform provided by Auris SAS. By accessing or using Auris, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old, have the authority to bind your organization to these Terms, and have read and understood them. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.
2. Description of Service
Auris provides a secret detection platform that scans source code repositories, CI/CD pipelines, and developer tooling for exposed credentials, API keys, and sensitive tokens. The service includes the detection engine, web dashboard, CLI tool, and related APIs.
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with 30 days' notice, except in cases of security emergencies or legal requirements.
3. User Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at security@auris.dev upon discovering any unauthorized use.
You must not share your credentials, create accounts for automated access without using the designated API tokens, or use the service from a jurisdiction where it is prohibited.
4. Acceptable Use Policy
You agree not to use Auris to:
- Scan repositories or systems you do not have authorization to access
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the detection engine
- Circumvent rate limits or use the API in ways that degrade service for others
- Use findings to facilitate unauthorized access to third-party systems
- Resell or sublicense access to the platform without prior written consent
Violation of these rules may result in immediate account termination without refund.
5. Intellectual Property
Auris and its underlying technology are the exclusive property of Auris SAS. Nothing in these Terms grants you ownership of any Auris software, trademark, or intellectual property.
You retain full ownership of your code and repositories. By using the service, you grant Auris a limited, non-exclusive license to process your data solely for the purpose of providing the detection service.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Auris shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunity, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid for the service in the three months preceding the claim.
Auris does not guarantee that the service will detect all secrets or prevent all security incidents. Secret detection is a best-effort process.
7. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Paris, France.
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
